Benefits

The Authority provides an array of benefits, as listed below.

  • Health Insurance -- The Authority offers all employees and their families health insurance. 100% of the premium is paid by the Authority for full-time employees (pro-rated for part-time employees).
  • Dental Insurance -- The Authority offers all employees and their families dental insurance through Delta Dental. 100% of the premium is paid by the Authority for full-time employees (pro-rated for part-time employees).
  • Vision Insurance - The Authority offers all employees and their families vision insurance through VSP. 100% of the premium is paid by the Authority for full-time employees (pro-rated for part-time employees).
  • Long-Term Disability -- The Authority provides Long-Term Disability Coverage to all employees. 100% premium paid by the Authority for full-time employees.
  • Life Insurance -- The Authority provides $25,000 of basic life insurance to all employees. 100% of the premium is paid by the Authority.
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment -- Employees are offered the opportunity to obtain the insurance at their own expense. Employee pays 100% of the premium.
  • Supplemental Life -- Employees are offered the opportunity to obtain the insurance at their own expense. Employee pays 100% of the premium.
  • PERS -- The Authority and its employees participate in the California Public Employee's Retirement System. The Authority contributes 100% of both the employer and employee portions.
  • 457(k) Retirement Plan -- Employees of the Authority may contribute a portion of their salary towards their 457(k) retirement plan (up to the annual maximum).
  • Employee Assistance Program -- The Authority provides all employees with access to an Employee Assistance Program. Each employee and their immediate families receive 6 visits per year, per problem.
  • Tuition Reimbursement -- The Authority will reimburse employees up to $600 per year for approved tuition expenses.
