About the Boccardo Trail Corridor

The Boccardo Trail Corridor, historically part of the Miller and Harlan Ranch, was opened to the public on May 11, 2002. The trail is named in memory of John H. Boccardo & Erminia Boccardo, pioneers in Santa Clara County when the county was known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight."

Recently, the 1.5 mile of trail was extended to creat a 3-mile loop trail, which is open to hikers, bicyclists, and equestrians, is designated as a portion of the Bay Area Ridge Trail. It will take you up about 1,100-feet to the top of a grassy knoll that overlooks what is now referred to as Silicon Valley. From the top of the knoll, on a clear day, you will be able to see north to San Francisco and south to Gilroy.
