The Santa Clara County Open Space Authority owns over 13,000 acres of land and manages 1,000 acres as easements and mitigation lands.
In its continuing effort to preserve land in a balanced manner, the Board has developed Study Areas for the different geographic regions within its boundaries. In Study Areas: An Overview, the areas are described in detail and include the goals that may be achieved by preserving land within each study area. Click on the specific Study Area for a description of the area (from Study Areas: An Overview).
