North Coyote Valley Management Plan

A vision to restore the important benefits that nature provides our communities

The Open Space Authority is responsible for managing, stewarding, and opening 937 acres of open space in North Coyote Valley. The Authority will lead the development of a science-based planning process in partnership with the City of San Jose and Peninsula Open Space Trust to engage the community, key partners, and funders in the designing and placemaking for a regional nature preserve, wildlife corridor, and greenway. During the planning process, which is expected to take 3-5 years, the Authority will offer guided walks, stewardship and volunteer days, and educational programs to connect local communities to Coyote Valley.
