SAN JOSÈ, Calif.—March 10, 2026—The Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority (Authority) invites community members to experience Coyote Valley Discovery Days, a milestone moment for the Coyote Valley Conservation Areas Master Plan (CVCAMP).  Discovery Days, a series of free events focusing on one of the region’s most important natural landscapes, will mark the first opportunity for the public to view and comment on conceptual design alternatives for future habitat restoration and public recreation in Coyote Valley.

We would love to hear from you! The CVCAMP Survey launches March 20. Share your thoughts on the future of Coyote Valley here

From March 20 through May 3, the Authority will host pop‑up exhibits, guided hikes, family-friendly events, hands‑on activities and outdoor adventures designed to bring the wonders of Coyote Valley to life.

“Since 2017, over 1,600 acres of Coyote Valley have been permanently protected for future generations,” said Nick Perry, Coyote Valley project director for the Authority. “With Discovery Days, we’re inviting people of all ages to help shape our plans for the future of this landscape while having fun experiencing and exploring all that this remarkable valley has to offer.”

Discovery Days kicks off on March 20 with a Virtual Lunch-and-Learn where the public can learn about upcoming plans for wildlife habitat restoration, sustainable agriculture, and new public access trails and destinations throughout Coyote Valley.
