Public Meetings
Board of Directors meetings are held the 4th Thursday of the month in February, March, April, May, July, August, September and October, on the 2nd Thursday of the month in November and December and on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in January and June.
Closed session begins at 6:30 p.m unless otherwise noted. Open session begins immediately following. The Open Space Authority hosts public meetings with a hybrid of in-person and virtual (Zoom) options.

Notice of Vacancy
The Board of Directors of the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority (Board) hereby provides notice that the District 5 seat on the Board is vacant and that the Board has determined that it will appoint a successor to finish the balance of the unexpired term of office. The Board seeks interested and qualified individuals to submit an application for the remainder of the unexpired term of office of District 5 Director until December 4, 2026.

Deadline for Considerations
The completed application must be received by 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2026. The Board of Directors is scheduled to vote on the appointment on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Qualifications
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
- A registered voter of Santa Clara County
- Live within the boundaries of the Authority’s District 5
All qualifications will be verified by staff.
Elections
Elections are held bi-annually in even years. Authority elections are administered by the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters.
