Before visiting the preserves, please check this page for notices, closures and safety advisories.

To report an incident or issue such as obstructions on the trail at an Open Space Authority preserve, please Contact Us and select “Trail/preserve questions.”  

To report a fire, medical emergency or suspicious activity at an Open Space Authority preserve, please call 911 immediately.

Saturdays & Sundays (March through May): Reservations required. Access to trails inside the Habitat Protection Area are only available by signing up for a FREE docent-led activity. View and sign up for guided activities here.

Habitat Protection Area (Serpentine Spring, Tule Elk, and Bay Checkerspot trails) CLOSED Mondays and Tuesdays for scientific research.

Coyote Valley Arrowhead Trail one-way for bikes
