Environmental Education Grant


The Authority is pleased to introduce a new grant program, funded by Measure Q. This annual competitive grant program funds environmental education programs and youth engagement projects in one or more categories:

  1. Natural Resources
  2. Water and watersheds
  3. Agriculture
  4. Nature's health benefits

The grants are open to Public Agencies, Schools and School Districts, and Nonprofits.

The Fiscal Year 2017-2018 grants range from $5,000 to $24,999 and applications are due March 16, 2018.  Application materials are posted below.
A 33% match is required, which can be met through in-kind services, supplies, or cash, or through matching funds from other sources.

Applied Materials Foundation has agreed to be listed as a potential source of the required match. Interested parties should email here for more information.

Please note that the Open Space Authority’s Urban Open Space Grant Program also includes funding for environmental education programs, though the grant amounts are higher than in this grant program.
