Unlike our interpretive guided Habitat Protection Hikes, Fresh Air & Flowers are faster-paced, and geared more toward individuals who enjoy hiking for fitness. These hikes will include minimal stops.

Enjoy a late afternoon, 4.5-mile hike at Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve and witness soaproot plants preparing to bloom in the evening.

Help protect one of the most biodiverse places in the Santa Clara Valley by removing invasive plants. Join us at Máyyan 'Ooyákma – Coyote Ridge Open Space Preserve to remove invasive yellow star thistle from sensitive habitat. Yellow star thistle is harmful to grassland ecosystems as it depletes moisture and competes with native plants.
