Request for Proposal
Santa Clara County Open Space Authority is issuing a Request for Proposal for Strategic Communications Consulting Services to assist in the development of the agency's strategic communications plan.
OSA Redistricting Information
Elections Code § 22000 requires each special district using director division elections to readjust those division boundaries in the year following the release of a new Census, to ensure compliance with constitutional equal population requirements. To comply with this requirement, the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority has retained an experienced demographic/redistricting consulting firm, Redistricting Partners, to prepare multiple proposals for the consideration of the Board and the public. The initial proposals follow.
Redistricting Partners will present their proposed plans at the next regular Board meeting on February 9, after which the Board will seek public input and may request possible revisions to one or more plans. The Board will also hold public hearings to seek public input on the proposed plans at its March and April meetings.
Wintertime Fun!
The Open Space Authority cordially invites you to sample our wonderful winter activities! From a Wildlife Mystery adventure, a hike to view colorful newts in nature, to a series of Healthy Weight walks, and a Leap Year Sunrise Salute, these activities provide fresh, invigorating ways to enjoy winter and usher in a brand new year.[more]
Hit the trails and immerse yourself in lush forests, wide landscapes and breathtaking views. Message from Andrea Mackenzie, General Manager
As stewards of the land, creeks, trees, plants and wildlife across Santa Clara County, we know that each season creates a special magic. Winter months offer cold, clear night skies for stargazing. The migration of birds adorns the skies of the Pacific flyway. A greening occurs as rain nurtures the landscape and all living things.
The wild beauty of this winter is poignant as we contemplate the closure of over 70 California State Parks, due to budget cuts, putting at risk the natural, historic and cultural legacy that belongs to us all. [more]
